Technological innovation - no lithium charging accidents for Titans forklifts f 14, 2022

Lithium electric forklift trucks have been reported with burning charging guns and charging stands, which will pose severe safety hazards to the end-users and will cause massive losses to the end-users' personal safety and property in the event of a fire, and will negatively affect the brand reputation of the supplier.

With regard to the electric vehicle charging scheme, 48V and 80V forklifts use national standard guns as charging interfaces due to the large power of lithium forklift charging systems. National standard charging guns are equipped with complete gun control functions, such as gun locking, terminal temperature detection, insertion and extraction status detection, etc., ensuring safety.

From 2017 to date, we have sold nearly 10,500 "Titans" lithium forklift chargers without experiencing a single case of gun burning, according to our sales department. It is estimated that the overall failure rate of overheating and burning of the charging gun and gun holder of similar products on the market is close to 5% (currently it is 5%, it may rise to 10%, 20% .... ).

Currently, "Titans" and similar products are using the same manufacturer's charging gun, other charging control system, charging module, and structural design.

It is only after the technical modification that the "friendly" charger can reach a speed as fast as 350ms from pressing the draw button on the charging gun to stopping the output. When the gun is pulled, this parameter prevents the positive and negative terminals from arcing and firing. In the past, Titans has encountered the same gun burning issue with factory charging modules and national standard guns. Experts from Titans found that the charging module had design imperfections, with long shut-off times and large trailing currents, which could lead to gun fires. As a result of adjusting the systems' software and hardware, such problems were finally resolved. The efficacy of this method has been verified through years of testing and large-scale applications.

The hot season has brought many accidents involving burning and charging guns in the automotive industry. There has not been a large amount of experience with lithium electric forklifts in the market, so sufficient attention needs to be given to them. To avoid subsequent fire accidents with major losses, it is recommended that chargers with safety accidents be recalled and disposed of.

As a lithium charging construction company with over ten years' experience, Titans has built charging stations for the Beijing Olympic Games, Shanghai World Expo, and Guangzhou Asian Games, the current project has been running for more than 10 years without any safety incidents. It also sells newly designed SLC models, SKC models and new charging modules, which follow a mature control scheme and use DSP chips for high-speed processing internally to ensure that charging control meets the standards and that all kinds of protection are timely, stable and effective. Titans’ internal EMC laboratory has tested the entire management system and the charger for EMC (an investment of more than 20 million), electrostatics, group pulses, lightning surges, and other system stability under various disturbances to ensure reliable operation and protection. In many years, there has not been a single case of gun burning due to this design.
